The QMJHL draft is well underway and the Halifax Mooseheads have made another shuffle on their team.

Forward Benoit-Olivier "Bo" Groulx has been sent to the Moncton Wildcats.

In exchange, the Moose have acquired a first round draft pick for 2021, as well as two second round picks, one in 2020 and one in 2022.

Groulx, who is currently captain of the Mooseheads, is in his fourth QMJHL season with the Moose, after being selected by Halifax GM Cam Russell first overall in the 2016 draft.

According to the team, Groulx will wrap up with 207 points, the seventh most in franchise history. He has played in 221 regular season games, and also added 22 points in 25 career President Cup Playoff games.

Groulx was cut yesterday as one of the final eliminations from Team Canada at the 2020 World Juniors, which begin later this week in the Czech Republic.

Originally from Gatineau, Quebec, 19-year-old Groulx will return to Halifax to represent the Wildcats in a game on January 3 at the Scotiabank Centre.

The QMJHL trade period will continue through until January 6 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
