Condor to Resume Service to Toronto and Halifax in Canada From September 7, 2021

On Thursday (July 22, 2021), Condor announced that with the reopening of Canadian borders, the carrier will resume service to Toronto in Ontario and Halifax in Nova Scotia starting September 7, 2021. Flights between Frankfurt and Toronto will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while Frankfurt-Halifax service will be offered twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. Condor guests traveling to Canada will also enjoy seamless onward connections via the airline’s partner, WestJet. Canada will open its borders to European travelers who have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival from September 7, 2021. Flights to Canada are now bookable through all German tour operators, travel agents or directly with Condor by phone or at condor.com.

In Thursday’s announcement, Condor’s CEO, Ralf Teckentrup, said,

“Our guests have waited a long time to be able to travel across the big pond to North America again. Now Canada has invited all North America fans who are fully vaccinated to join them again. Within a few hours, we received so many requests for Condor flights that we decided at short notice to offer five connections per week from Frankfurt to Canada starting in September.”

Founded in 1956, Condor is Germany’s favorite leisure airline, normally serving around 9.4 million guests annually to 90 destinations in Europe, Africa and America from eight German gateways. During the financial year 2018/2019, Condor Flugdienst recorded a net profit of €57 million on revenue of €1.7 billion. The German leisure carrier has a fleet of 50 aircraft which are meticulously maintained to the highest safety standards by their wholly-owned subsidiary Condor Technik with facilities in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
